Medical Education Services (MES) is one of the Membership Services of the Joint International Academies of Research and Education (JIARE) - www.jiare.org.uk, for prpomoting excellence in Medical Practice, Patient care, Research and Education.  It is a dynamic and innovative provider of general medical education in all subjects of medicine and at all levels, including clinical skills training, surgical skills training that complements the programmes offered by medical universities, institutions and hospitals globally since 1951.

 

The objective of the group is to promote teaching and learning, balanced education, disseminate information, and exchange knowledge, technical and technological expertise between the professionals working in various specialities in medicine, surgery and public health internationally.  At MES, we believe that sharing knowledge, skills and expertise from the various participants in our programmes with diverse backgrounds will lead to improvements in the healthcare of the society in general with increased community development.

 

At MES, learning is about much more than simply imparting knowledge. Therefore we use both traditional and modern teaching methods to suit the individual learning needs of our students and to build teamwork, and a sense of social responsibility. Our modern classrooms, clinical skills centres and medical technology suites are well-equipped, enabling the use of different teaching styles in medical education in the teaching and learning processes. We believe that it's vital to provide individual support for every student and participant in our programmes.

Our philosophy

 

At MES, we have the following philosophy:

  • we encourage our students to develop their social skills and give them room for personal development
  • we encourage our students to strive towards meaningful goals and support them as they solve the problems they encounter so that they gain increased levels of autonomy
  • our philosophy is applied to all levels of our teaching plan. Students are encouraged to get involved in designing the way that they are taught.
  • in short, we encourage our students to develop their own personality and to discover their own individual paths towards adulthood.

Results-orientated Teaching

 

At Medical Education Services we use many teaching and learning approaches, including results-oriented teaching, problem-based learning, small group teaching, seminars, lectures, community-based teaching, practical skills-based learning, projects and research oriented learning with self-directed learning, and many more methods in our various educational programmes.  These ensure that our participants learn for life. Our teaching gives them the knowledge they need to prepare for their future.  This holistic approach to education has proved successful in our Organisation for many years, as confirmed in different evaluations and reviews carried out by our centres over the past decades and years.

 

We use a variety of additional study methods, offering a more inclusive form of teaching, to provide participants with a better chance of acquiring knowledge and enhancing the skills in order to meet the challenges facing medical practice in the changing World. This teaching method is particularly designed to match the participants' different learning styles.

 

Our study skills groups enable students to apply their learning in a practical way. The educator's role here is to provide inspiration and encourage the participants to create their own study groups. Participants can therefore determine the content and methodology in their study group.
